Princess Madeleine landed in Sweden a few days ago without husband Chris and son Nicolas. Now she reveals that her family is finally back together.

Is she coming or not? Many fans of the Swedish royal family had asked themselves this question in the last few days. The reason was Princess Madeleine’s trip home on the occasion of her 40th birthday. After much confusion, the Court’s Chief Information Officer, Margareta Thorgren, announced on Tuesday morning, June 14, 2022 that Madeleine had landed in Sweden. As it turned out a few hours later, their journey had a catch.

Princess Madeleine: Arrived in Sweden without a husband and son Nicolas

“The Princess and her daughters, Princess Leonore and Princess Adrienne, arrived in Sweden this morning. Chris O’Neill will arrive in Sweden with his son Prince Nicolas on Friday,” Margareta Thorgren told Expressen newspaper. “It was planned for the whole family to arrive today,” added the court information chief, explaining: “Prince Nicolas has had an earache and it is inappropriate to fly. That is why father Chris O’Neill is coming with his son on Friday .”

That meant Princess Madeleine missed her son’s birthday. Prince Nicolas turned seven on Wednesday, June 15, 2022 and had to celebrate in Florida without his sisters and mom Madeleine. A birthday party with his royal family in Sweden will certainly be made up for, after all, Madeleine also plans to celebrate her milestone birthday, which she spent in the USA, with her loved ones. Madeleine, Chris, 47, and the children also have enough time for this. According to the farm, the family will “stay in Sweden all summer” – how nice!

Madeleine reveals: “We are all back together”

With a belated birthday post in honor of her now seven-year-old son on June 18, Madeleine revealed on Instagram that her family is finally reunited. For a magical portrait of Nicolas, she writes: “Today we celebrated our dear Nicolas, who just turned 7 years old! I’m happy that we are all together again.” Sounds like the birthday party has already been made up.

The princess had her first official appointment in Sweden on Thursday, June 16th. Since 2002 she has been the patron of the “Min Stora Dag” organization, which looks after seriously ill children and young people in the Astrid Lindgren Children’s Hospital. Madeleine spent a day with them and accompanied some patients to play therapy.
