Prince William and Duchess Catherine are also not unaffected by the third lockdown in Great Britain. Together with their three children, they will remain in their headquarters in Norfolk for the time being and will not return to London in the "foreseeable future".

Prince William, 38, and Duchess Catherine, 38, like so many parents, are preparing for more weeks of homeschooling during the corona crisis. With their three children, George, 7, Charlotte, 5, and Louis, 2, they are staying at their home in Annem Hall in Norfolk during the third UK lockdown and will apparently not return to their London home, Kensington Palace, for the time being British "The Mirror" reports.

The Cambridges want to support with video calls

Accordingly, the couple is currently preparing to show their support for charities and companies via video call again. "The family is determined to work together to help the country through the next phase of the crisis," said a palace insider. "There are already plans to contact a number of charities and corporations and luckily they are now very familiar with the world of video calling."

Duchess Catherine admitted difficulties with homeschooling

The Cambridges had already spent the spring and summer during the first lockdown at Remember Hall. Just before Christmas, the family had traveled to Norfolk again before Tier 4 restrictions hit London. Duchess Catherine had already admitted at the time that, like for millions of parents, it was difficult for them to teach three children at home. Her husband, on the other hand, joked that "homeschooling is fun".

No return to London for the royal family

Other members of the British royal family also turned their backs on the capital during the crisis. Prince Charles, 72, and Duchess Camilla, 73, are staying at Highgrove House in Gloucestershire. Queen Elizabeth, 94, and Prince Philip, 99, are staying at Windsor Castle, Berkshire. Experts believe that even after her vaccination against the coronavirus, the Queen will only return to London when "life is back to normal".
