The active solidarity income (RSA) is one of the social minimums guaranteeing a basic income to precarious individuals and couples, whether they are unemployed or not. Paid at the start of each month by the Family Allowance Fund (Caf), it is calculated based on a declaration of situation and quarterly income. Its amount is reassessed from year to year.
How much will the RSA amount be in 2024?
For the year 2024, the fixed amount of the RSA amounts to 607.75 euros for a person living alone, without children and not benefiting from personalized housing allowances (APL), and 534.82 euros if they This touches APL in parallel. But this amount will be modulated according to the cohabitation status, the number of dependent children as well as the APL affected. The complete RSA price list in 2024 is as follows:
- for a single person without APL: 607.75 euros (no dependent children), 911.63 euros (one child), 1,093.96 euros (two children), 1,337.06 euros (three children);
- single person with APL: 534.82 euros (no children), 765.77 euros (one child), 913.46 euros (two children), 1,156.56 euros (three children);
- couple without APL: 911.63 euros (no children), 1,093.96 euros (one child), 1,276.29 euros (two children), 1,519.39 euros (three children);
- couple with APL: 765.77 euros (no children), 913.46 euros (one child), 1,095.79 euros (two children), 1,338.89 euros (three children).
Can the amount of the RSA be increased or reduced?
However, these amounts are only lump sums corresponding to a person without income. The actual amount of RSA that you will receive is equal to this lump sum, from which the household resources you have declared will be deducted. On the other hand, the RSA can be increased for a period of twelve months when an event occurs that places you in the category of single parents (declaration of pregnancy, birth or care of a child, separation or widowhood). Finally, the flat rate amount of the RSA will also be increased for large families: to the flat rate amount for your situation with three children will be added a sum of 243.10 euros per additional child in 2024.
