Rubis: 70% increase in turnover in the 3rd quarter – 11/08/2022 at 6:14 p.m.

(CercleFinance.com) – Rubis publishes a turnover of 2042 ME for the 3rd quarter, up 70% compared to the same period a year earlier, ‘due to the rise in oil prices (+ 80%)’, indicates the group.

Business is driven both by distribution (+69% to 1.7 billion euros) and by Support & Services (+69% to 308 ME).

In addition, the Rubis Renouvelables activity newly created in 2022 recorded sales of €13 million.

‘The creation of this branch and the investments to be made will enable the Group to reach a target of 25% of its GOI in renewable energies in the medium term, with a minimum of 2.5GW of photovoltaic capacity installed in France by 2030. ‘, says Ruby.

For the 2022 financial year, despite the normalization of the basis of comparison and an uncertain macro-environment, the Group is confident in its ability to generate good growth in its results.

In the medium and long term, the Group intends to rely on many growth engines, particularly in Africa (45% of trading profit) – a region where the population and energy demand are increasing -, the Caribbean (38% of trading profit) – where Rubis claims to hold ‘a strong position as a leading player in niche markets’ – and in Europe (17% of COI2) – where following the acquisition of Photosol, the Group claims to be ‘well positioned in the energy transition with installed capacities of 368 MW and a 3.5 GW pipeline in France’.
