PARIS (Agefi-Dow Jones)–The petroleum products distribution and storage group Rubis announced on Thursday that it was confident “in its ability to generate good growth in its results” in 2022, while its adjusted net income increased by 17 % in the first half, to 169 million euros.

Net income, group share, for its part, stood at 170 million euros, up 25% compared to the corresponding period of 2021.

“The first half of the year was marked by excellent growth in volumes and results,” Rubis said in a press release. “While all regions posted positive developments, the Caribbean region was the main driver of growth thanks to a strong recovery from the Covid crisis and a favorable basis for comparison,” commented the group.

In the first half, sales jumped 60% to 3.29 billion euros while current operating income was 244 million euros, up 30% compared to the corresponding period of 2021.

According to a consensus by FactSet, analysts on average expected a net profit of 141 million euros and a turnover of 3.02 billion euros.
