Rubis: the last point of activity hailed on the stock market – 09/09/2022 at 10:01

(CercleFinance.com) – The Rubis share is among the strongest gains in the SBF 120 index on Friday morning on the Paris Stock Exchange, the specialist in the distribution of fuels and chemical products taking advantage of its last point of activity.

In a press release published yesterday evening, the group, very present in Africa and overseas, indicates that the first half of the year was marked by “excellent growth” in its volumes and its results.

Rubis thus reports a 60% growth in its turnover over the first six months of the year, to 3.29 billion euros, on the basis of a 7% increase in its activity in volumes, which puts it back 3% above its pre-Covid levels.

The company explains that the Caribbean region has been the main driver of growth thanks to a strong recovery from the health crisis and a favorable basis for comparison.

Current operating profit (ROC), its most closely monitored profitability indicator, rose by 30% to 244 million euros over the half-year, against 188 million a year earlier.

For the full year 2022, the group said it was confident in its ability to generate “good growth” in its results despite a normalizing comparison base and current economic uncertainties.

At 9:45 a.m., the title granted itself an increase of 4.2%, against an increase of 0.7% for the SBF 120.
