The process of finding a successor to the Frenchman, former leader of the European branch of the NBA (the North American professional basketball league), is underway and an announcement should be made early next year, the statement said. .

Benjamin Morel was notably behind the signing in March 2021 of a “long-term strategic partnership” with the CVC investment fund, for more than 400 million euros over five years.
He also managed to mount the “Autumn Cup of Nations” during the Covid-19 pandemic in 2020 and decided to postpone the Women’s Tournament after the men’s edition, in order to give it more visibility, with a dedicated sponsor.
