Rugby World Cup 2023: discover the nine stadiums of the competition


The Rugby World Cup is back in France. Sixteen years after a first edition in France, won by South Africa in 2007, the French are once again organizing the biggest competition in the world of ovality from September 8 to October 28. With an opening match that promises sparks between the Blues and the All Blacks, in the setting of the Stade de France in Saint-Denis. Besides, where will all the meetings take place?

The organizers have chosen nine stadiums throughout the country to host the biggest teams in the world: the Stade de France, the Pierre-Mauroy stadium in Lille, the Beaujoire stadium in Nantes, the Groupama Stadium in Lyon, the Geoffroy stadium -Guichard in Saint-Étienne, the Matmut Atlantique in Bordeaux, the Stadium in Toulouse, the Vélodrome stadium in Marseille and the Allianz Riviera in Nice. It is the Stade de France which will receive the greatest number of matches, with ten matches in total. In addition to the opening match, the largest arena in France with its 80,000 seats will notably be the scene of two quarter-finals, the semi-finals, the small final and the grand final on October 28.

The Vélodrome stadium in Marseille will also be well served in this World Cup, with group matches including France-Namibia on September 21, and two quarter-finals. Discover the list of matches and the places that will host the meetings.
