Twitter has blocked the social media account of controversial US rapper Kanye West.
According to media reports, West’s account was suspended after he allegedly tweeted a picture of a swastika (swastika).
Kanye West has repeatedly expressed anti-Semitism on Twitter and incited violence with his hate speech.
Now Twitter owner Elon Musk has gone too far: He, who sees himself as an advocate of freedom of expression, has blocked the account of US rapper Kanye West. “I tried my best. Nevertheless, he again violated our rule against incitement to violence,” Elon Musk explained in a tweet.
“The account will be blocked.” Twitter previously capped a tweet from West, who now calls himself Ye. In October, Musk welcomed the rapper’s return to the social media platform.
The sporting goods manufacturer Adidas recently ended its collaboration with West after repeated verbal failures with immediate effect.
