Rules summarized – lockdown in Upper Austria and SBG: schools remain open

At 5.30 p.m. Upper Austrian Governor Thomas Stelzer, his deputy Christine Haberlander and experts appeared in front of the press (see livestream below). The governor wanted to close the schools, but Federal Minister Heinz Faßmann insists that they stay open. “But only for those who urgently need the care,” says Stelzer. The experts assume a three-week lockdown, but it can be extended if necessary. One week before Christmas at the latest, they want to clarify whether there will be relief for those who have been vaccinated or whether the lockdown can be ended.
