Actress Rumer Willis has revealed why she gave her daughter the unusual name Louetta. Reason was a typo.

For her it was “divine inspiration”: actress Rumer Willis (35) revealed in an interview why she gave her daughter, who was born in April, the unusual name Louetta.

“We were thinking about the name Loretta and it was a typo”, Willis told People magazine on naming with her partner, musician Derek Richard Thomas. “Her dad and I were texting and he left out the ‘R’ and it said ‘Louetta’. And I was like, oh I love that!” She felt it was “one of those moments of divine inspiration” that she luckily had early in her pregnancy.

At times she had doubts

However, according to the eldest daughter of action hero Bruce Willis (68), she also had doubts in between: “I thought I loved this name, but is it the right one? What happens when she is born and not like that looks like?”

But the worries were unfounded. Rumer Willis: “I also like that the name is so versatile. If she doesn’t feel like Louetta, she can call herself ‘Lou’. Or ‘Etta’. Whatever she likes.”

The 35-year-old gave birth to her daughter at home. In addition to the child’s father, her mother Demi Moore (60) and her sisters Tallulah (29) and Scout LaRue (32) were there.
