The ninth generation of home consoles is already four years old, we will undoubtedly have to wait several more years before discovering the 10th generation, but manufacturers will undoubtedly offer improved versions of the PS5 and Xbox Series X|S by then… or even in the coming months.
The PlayStation 5 Pro is already making waves, just like the Xbox Series X and S mid-gen. These had leaked because of a leak who touched Microsoft last year and we may have this week the first images of the Xbox Series X, version 2024. L’insider eXtas1s would have received photos of this new home console, a white Xbox Serieswhich coincides with the leak mentioning a 100% digital console. However, the design here is square, very similar to the Xbox Series leakshowing a round (and black) console.
The technical sheet, however, remains unknown, eXtas1s talk aboutan improved heat sinkwhile the document leaked mentioned a 2TB SSD, Wi-Fi 6E and Bluetooth 5.2. According to theinsider, the price would be $50-100 lower than the 2020 Xbox Serieswhich is $499 or €549.99 (but it can be found cheaper on Amazon, Cdiscount Or there Fnac). Always according to eXtas1s, the digital console could be released between June and July 2024or very soon.
For now, Microsoft has not confirmed the existence of this digital Xbox Series. The dematerialized games market grows every year, at least in certain regions of the world, this “new” console would have its place on the market, especially if it is accompanied by a subscription to the Game Pass Ultimate.
