RUMOR about FIFA 23: 2 World Cups, cross-play and more advanced graphics than ever

From the launch of FIFA 22, Electronic Arts had made an astonishing statement about the future of the series. He said he was thinking about giving up the branding of the International Federation of Football Association, perhaps a way of putting pressure on the organization with a view to future negotiations. We had no news since, but Andy Robinson and Tom Henderson reported a few days ago on VGC that Andrew Wilson, president ofEAhad told his employees that use of name Fifa was “an obstacle” for the sagathat this partnership prevented him from developing fashions beyond the 11v11 traditional or “broader digital ecosystems”. Apart from the years of World Cup where he can use more licenses, the name Fifa would only be for him “four letters on the front of the box”.

Problem, the 2022-2023 season will be a year of international competitions, so the end of the collaboration may not be for now. This same Tom Hendersonused to leaks on Battlefield and on the industry in general, makes new revelations about FIFA 23, which would have this title this year. Thus, it would offer content related to 2 World Cups : that of the men in Qatar, which will take place in November and December, and that of the women in Australia and New Zealandscheduled for July and August 2023.

The project would not free-to-playa niche chosen by its competitors, but would finally offer from cross play between PCs, playstation and Xbox : it is not yet said that this would only concern the next gen or the PS4 and Xbox One generation. On personal computer, PS5 and Xbox Series X | S, the graphics and animations should be even more advanced, thanks to the technology Hypermotion. EA would have taken the concept even further, by scanning the players no longer via suits, but thanks to stadium cameras, which would have allowed him to collect 100 times more data in one season than in all previous seasons.

Pending the formalization of all this, which may not happen before this summer, FIFA 22 is available from €53.99 on Amazon.co.uk.
