It’s been a long time since we’ve been hearing hallway noises on the sequel to Star Wars Jedi: Fallen Orderbut it was only made official last January, alongside 2 other projects Star Wars led by Respawn Entertainment. This sequel was rumored to release in 2022, but plans have obviously changed along the way.

Jeff Grubb from VentureBeat, insider often very well informed, indeed declared in his last podcast Grubbsnax that this title would not see the light of day before 2023, although a 2022 launch was originally planned. On the other hand, according to him, it would be exclusive to the next genits release on PC, PS5 and Xbox Series X | S releasing it a priori from some technical constraints.

Star Wars Jedi 2 will only be on the next generation, so on PS5, Xbox Series X and S, and of course PC. One of the reasons they’re going to be able to do this is because it won’t be released until 2023. This game definitely won’t be released until 2023.

It’s easier to part with those millions of PS4s and Xbox Ones around the world when you’re in 2023 and you’re going to have several months to make getting an Xbox Series X really easy, and probably a few months during which it will finally be possible to obtain a PS5 in an acceptable time. And then at the same time, you can enjoy it and do something that feels new.

Still according to Jeff Grubb, the title of the sequel would not be Star Wars Jedi: Fallen Order 2the Fallen Order to disappear to make way for another subtitle. He also says he knows that the project will finally be revealed in one way or another during the celebrations around the star wars day next month, but not necessarily on May 4. We should be fixed in the coming days! Until then, Star Wars Jedi: Fallen Order is it available from €19.99 on Amazon.co.uk.
