RUMOR about Top Spin 5: a new tennis game in development at 2K Czech, in addition to the Mafia in Sicily

Despite the attempts of Grand Slam Tennis, AO International Tennis, Tennis World Tour and soon Matchpoint – Tennis Championshipsit is clear that the last reference tennis game remains Top Spin 4… which dates back to 2011. Some are therefore still hoping for a strong comeback of the licence, and they may see their wish granted in the months to come.

Nick Baker of XboxEra indeed entrusted in his last podcast that, according to the noises of corridors which he had heard, a Top Spin 5 would be in development at Shed 13. The studio has for the record assimilated the teams of 2K Czechprecisely already behind this famous Top Spin 4. The information is as always to be taken with tweezers, especially since even Nick Baker does not seem 100% sure of its veracity, but he is currently counting on a revelation in 2023.

I don’t want to get anyone too excited about this, because remember a lot of these things are never 100% sure. It’s just rumours, hallway noises and stuff we hear. I hear we may see a new Top Spin game. I think it would be Top Spin 5.

So, yes, at the moment it is rumored that the Czech team at Hangar 13 is working on a Top Spin tennis game which we will probably hear about next year.

He also supported the revelation of Kotaku according to which 2K Czech would also be working on a prequel to Mafia. He adds that it would take place between the end of the 19th and the beginning of the 20th century in Sicily, and would talk about the past of the family of Don Salierifor a more linear narrative than that of Mafia III. Until then, for the curious, Matchpoint – Tennis Championships Legends Editions is available pre-order from €49.99 on Amazon.co.uk.
