RUMOR on Assassin’s Creed Mirage: a distant release period for the episode in Baghdad due to internal postponements

Currently, all the attention ofUbisoft is turned towards Assassin’s Creed Valhalla for the end of its cycle of content additions. Thus, the 1.6.2 update was deployed a week in advance, with the surprise of a two-way collaboration with Destiny 2 available soon (and even a monster hunterstill unofficial) and a quest Common history linking up with Assassin’s Creed Mirage. It is precisely the latter that interests us now, at least its release period.

According to the sources ofInsider Gaming, Assassin’s Creed Mirage would not be released before August 2023, while several elements suggested during its announcement that it could be launched during the first half of the year. A mid-summer outing is unusual, but Ubisoft has already released Siege of Paris DLC at this same period in 2021, so it would not be improbable.

This episode sounding like a return to the origins of the license while waiting for theAction RPG in Japan Assassin’s Creed Codename Red would have been postponed internally already twice, and could therefore be postponed again, without the reason being given by said sources. It would also seem that “Codename RED” suffered from difficulties in its development, while the first concepts ofAssassin’s Creed Codename Hexe has reportedly been received internally very positively, with a full production start coming soon. These two future games planned for the platform Infinity should not be released before 2024 and 2026 respectively, according to the rumors, the publisher having not specified anything during their announcement, but their calendar could therefore also be upset.

It will therefore a priori be necessary to be patient before having something new to eat on the side of the license, giving time to dive back into Valhalla waiting. By the way, the theme Into the Light from the first trailer was played live at the concert Symphonic Adventure and can be listened to below.

Assassin’s Creed Mirage is as a reminder expected on PS5, PS4, Xbox Series X|S, Xbox One and PC, and can be pre-ordered on Amazon from €47.99.
