RUMOR on Assassin’s Creed Shadows: a game mode introduced with Unity would make a return

In November 2014 came out Assassin’s Creed Unitya highly anticipated episode at the time since it took place in Paris at the time of the French Revolution. One of its particularities highlighted from its very first video of gameplayit was the presence of a four-player cooperative modea first for the license. He had also known a slight postponement of two weekswhich did not prevent him from going out with numerous technical problems having led to Ubisoft to apologize in offering the extension Dead Kings. Doesn’t that remind you of anything? We must believe that life is an eternal beginning since 10 years later, Assassin’s Creed Shadows seems to follow in its footsteps in a certain way. This episode which will feature a destination highly requested by players at the time, namely feudal Japan (in 1579 to be precise), was initially scheduled to see the light of day on November 15, but was ultimately postponed to February 14, 2025a postponement that the developers have apparently requested for quite a while and which would only have been authorized following the poor results of Star Wars Outlaws. Moreover, Ubisoft will offer the first extension which was to be included in the Season Pass. It’s hard to deny the coincidences and it’s not over if the new rumor that has just come out is to be believed.

It’s once again Tom Henderson which comes to titillate the matrix by reporting from its sources thatUbisoft reportedly currently developing a co-op mode for Assassin’s Creed Shadows ! According to him, it should be released post-launch and would be codenamed LEAGUEbut would currently have no fixed release period, the only postponement of the game having disrupted the entire development schedule of the license, which appears to be very busy. And before the players on the Web pull their theories out of the hat, he specifies that the development of such a mode was already underway well before the postponement and is not a reaction to the latter.

It is surprising that the publisher abandoned this idea after Unityjust like the multiplayer which did not have any more iterations after Black Flageven if having games whose entire content is accessible in single player is clearly not a bad thing given the server closures… We will pass on the fact that the seasonal events of Valhalla are no longer accessible, however average they may be.

On the other hand, no further details are given regarding what this co-op mode could beTom Henderson just assuming we might see Naoe And Yasuke fight together, which would after all make the most sense having two characters already playable, but we might as well be surprised. After all, a game like Ghost of Tsushima Legends made us embody four classes of characters distinct from Jin Sakai. Yes, the comparison was inevitable. It would not be surprising, moreover, if the Animus Shop (or whatever the name of the inevitable is blind filled with microtransactions) takes advantage of such a mode if we have a customizable avatar.

In short, for the moment, wait & see. You can pre-order Assassin’s Creed Shadows on Amazon priced at €69.99.
