A 66-year-old from Pongau died in a forestry accident in Filzmoos this morning, Monday.
A 66-year-old was carrying out forestry work alone in a steep forest. While delimbing a tree he had cut down, it started rolling. Since the man was standing under the tree, he was hit by the tree and rolled over. His son, who only found him some time later, notified the rescue workers. After arriving, the emergency doctor could only determine that the 66-year-old local man was dead. The accident victim was rescued by the Filzmoos Volunteer Fire Department.
