While other 13-year-olds were still playing with dolls, Darya Sudnishnikova from Russia was already carrying her own baby. The now 14-year-old gave birth to her first child on August 16. Mother and child should be fine – even if there were complications during the birth.
14-year-old became known in pregnancy
Even during pregnancy, Darya made headlines in the last few months. The young girl, who is now a mother herself, was reported across the borders of her country. The then 13-year-old began to accompany her pregnancy with photos and videos on Instagram. It wasn't just her own young age that caused a stir: your boyfriend is now just eleven years old.
Sad secret: 11 year old boyfriend is not the father
How did it happen that such a young couple became parents? Among other things, a team of reporters from RTL got to the bottom of this and traveled to Russia. With Darya and her mother it finally became clear during the filming: The 11-year-old Ivan is the girl's friend – but not the baby's father, as was initially claimed.
Instead, there is a sad secret behind the extraordinary story: Darya is said to have been raped. The girl does not talk about the experiences. Even so, she doesn't want to focus on the negative memories, but rather on the positive future. In interviews, the 14-year-old always stated that she was looking forward to the child. Even her very young boyfriend originally wanted to take on the role of father. During the pregnancy he looked after Darya and even moved in with the family. But then everything changed.
The 11-year-old was not present at the birth. The boy was determined to support his girlfriend. But then Ivan is said to have suddenly disappeared. His mother brought him to his grandmother shortly before he was born, as Darya told shortly in an interview with RTL.
After the break in contact, complications should also have arisen in the hospital: Due to corona measures, initially nobody should have been taken into the delivery room – not even the mother of the 14-year-old.
Happy ending for Darya and her family
We don't know whether Darya actually had to go through the birth alone. One thing is certain: the 14-year-old gave birth to a healthy girl. For a short time, she contacted her fans again via Instagram. The birth was "exhausting", but she made it.
And there is also a happy ending in their relationship: Ivan is said to have moved back in with Darya shortly before the birth. Now a great new adventure awaits the small family, which they face full of joy despite the sad trigger.
