Russia: Duma could discuss integration of Ukrainian provinces on Thursday – TASS


LONDON, Sept 24 (Reuters) – The Duma, Russia’s lower house of parliament, could debate on September 29 a bill to integrate Russian-occupied regions of Ukraine into Russian territory, the agency reported on Saturday. Tass press, citing an unnamed source.

Moscow launched referendums on Friday on the attachment to Russia of the four Ukrainian regions occupied by Russian forces, provoking condemnation from Kyiv and Western countries, which described the votes as shams and pledged not to recognize their results.

According to the Tass news agency, the Duma could debate a bill on the integration of these Ukrainian provinces on Thursday, two days after the end of the referendums organized in the four provinces. (Reuters report, French version Matthieu Protard)
