MOSCOW (Reuters) – Boris Nadezhdine, anti-war candidate and opponent of Vladimir Putin, announced on Thursday that he would not be authorized by the electoral commission (CEC) to be a candidate in next March’s presidential election in Russia and that he would challenge this decision in court.

The CEC announced that it had discovered falsified sponsorships in the list submitted by Boris Nadejdine, which he refutes.
