Russia ready to strengthen military cooperation with Iran, says RIA

MOSCOW (Reuters) – Russia is ready to strengthen military and technological cooperation with Iran, Russian Defense Minister Sergei Shoigu told his Iranian counterpart Gharaei Ashtiani during a meeting on Friday, the Russian Defense Agency reported. RIA press.

According to Sergei Shoigu, military contacts between the two countries have significantly intensified in recent times.

The two ministers were participating in a meeting in Kazakhstan of the Shanghai Cooperation Organization (SCO), which brings together Russia, India, China, Iran, Pakistan, Kazakhstan, Uzbekistan, Kyrgyzstan and Tajikistan.
