According to the TASS agency, the case is based on the allegations of a Russian soldier who spent 29 days as a prisoner in Ukraine.
Russia sent tens of thousands of troops to Ukraine on February 24 in what it called a special operation aimed at degrading its southern neighbor’s military capabilities and protecting Russian speakers, but Ukrainian forces put up fierce resistance and Russian forces have now withdrawn from areas around Kyiv.
