Russia will have to answer for its crimes after the death of two French people in Ukraine, says Séjourné

PARIS, February 2 (Reuters) – Moscow will have to answer for its crimes after the death of two French aid workers on Thursday in an attack by the Russian army in Ukraine, the French foreign minister said on Friday.

“Two French humanitarian workers paid for their commitment to the Ukrainians with their lives. Three are injured,” confirmed Stéphane Séjourné on his X account, formerly Twitter, adding that “Russia will have to answer for its crimes.”

Kherson region governor Oleksandr Prokudin announced Thursday that a Russian airstrike with armed drones killed two French aid workers and injured three other foreign nationals in the town of Berislav.
