MOSCOW, Dec.21 (Reuters) – Vladimir Putin assured Tuesday that Russia will respond “appropriately” in the event of Western aggression, as tensions remain high between Moscow and Western countries over the situation in Ukraine.
Addressing the commanders of the Russian army, the head of the Kremlin, who demands guarantees that NATO will not expand into Ukraine, deemed it necessary to strengthen the means of the army to face the threats of which he believes his country is the object.
