After Moscow fired on Monday, November 15, of a missile against one of its old satellites which was no longer operational, questions remain about the real motivations of Russia. Why did she take the risk of such a shot when she herself had two cosmonauts on board the International Space Station (ISS) and the debris caused by this maneuver could potentially expose them? Was this a pure demonstration of opportunistic power in a context of renewed strategic competition?
