(Reuters) – Russian helicopter gunships destroyed a convoy of Ukrainian armored vehicles and anti-aircraft defense systems, the Interfax news agency reported on Sunday, quoting the Russian Defense Minister.
“KA-52 combat helicopters (…) destroyed weapons and military equipment of the armed forces of Ukraine”, indicates Interfax which refers to a press release from the minister.
Ukrainian military officials were not immediately available for comment.
Reuters could not immediately verify this information.
Interfax said the ministry released a video showing KA-52 helicopters flying very low and firing missiles at ground targets.
The place and time of the attack were not specified.
