Facepunch Studios had more exactly sold 12,481,079 copies of Rust at the time of publishing its balance sheet for the past year. Added to this big figure are sales of 1.1 million additional content packs. At its peak, the game had 267 2011 players logged in simultaneously, but the studio has also banned over 600,000 accounts to combat the scourge of cheating.
