At the Oscars, Ryan Gosling provided the most dazzling highlight of the evening with his performance of the “Barbie” hit “I’m Just Ken.”
Excitement about “I’m Just Ken” performance
It was a long time in the making that Gosling would perform the song “I’m Just Ken” from the “Barbie” soundtrack, which was nominated for “Best Original Song”, on stage at the Oscars as planned. The general enthusiasm was even greater when he actually appeared on stage in a bright pink outfit on yesterday’s Oscar evening and sang the song together with star producer Mark Ronson, 48, Guns N’ Roses guitarist Slash, 58, and a total of 65 dancing “Ken” actors performed in front of the glamorous audience.
Without Eva Mendes on the red carpet
Before his brilliant performance, the actor walked the red carpet with his sister Mandi Gosling, 47, his mother Donna Gosling and his stepfather Valerio Attanasio. His long-time partner Eva Mendes, 38, supported him from backstage. On Instagram She later posted a snapshot from Gosling’s wardrobe, posing in front of his iconic “Ken” outfit. She wrote: “You brought Ken all the way to the Oscars, RG. Now come home, we need to put the kids to bed.” The couple has two daughters together.
Gosling and Mendes rarely give the public a glimpse into their private lives. After the two met while filming the film “The Place Beyond The Pines” in 2011, they were only seen together once on the red carpet. Even when he was nominated for an Oscar for Best Actor for the film “La La Land” in 2017, his sister Mandi stepped in as the official date for the glamor evening.
