50 years after "Love Story", the leading actors Ryan O'Neal and Ali MacGraw have now been honored with two stars on the "Walk of Fame".

With their 1970 film "Love Story", the two US actors Ryan O'Neal (79) and Ali MacGraw (81) are a kind of everlasting couple for the public. The melodrama about a tragic relationship became one of the most successful films of the 1970s. O'Neal (Oliver Barrett) and MacGraw (Jenny Cavilleri) have now been honored with two stars on the Hollywood Walk of Fame. Due to the corona pandemic, the ceremony took place virtually.

Both stars and their sons and several guest speakers, including "Love Story" co-star Tommy Lee Jones (74), had their say at the virtual ceremony last Friday. "I am glad to have lived long enough to receive this award," said O'Neal proudly. "Ryan and I were fortunate enough to be on a film that surprised us with its tremendous success," added MacGraw. "From the moment we met, it was just wonderful. Thank you for everything, Ryan, and have a wonderful Valentine's Day."
