Ryanair: impacted by delivery delays at Boeing

(CercleFinance.com) – Ryanair announced today that Boeing only plans to deliver 40 of the 57 B737-MAX8200 aircraft scheduled for delivery before the end of June 2024.

The company – which has a fleet of 600 aircraft – specifies that this change in the delivery schedule will result in some minor schedule changes and reduce flight frequencies on certain routes.

‘All affected passengers have already received schedule change notifications offering them alternative times/flights or full refunds if they prefer,’ Ryanair points out.

The company estimates that it should transport just under 200 million passengers in 2024, compared to an initial target of 205 million.

Ryanair is now working with Boeing to accept aircraft deliveries during the peak months of July, August and September 2024. However, it says that given delivery uncertainties, it will not be able to use these aircraft for the peak from summer 2024.
