Safari: how was the filming with the animals?
In this comedy directed by Olivier Baroux, the actors regularly rub shoulders with animals. Kad Merad remembers it very well because he himself was bitten by a monkey during filming. “We finally managed to get what we wanted, but it was very complicated. The monkey, a vervet, only walks on food, and when he’s no longer hungry, it’s over, we can’t nothing more to ask of him. The dosage of food is therefore crucial. We still managed to get him to open a book. He’s a monkey, not an actor, he doesn’t care if the film works!”explained the director to our colleagues from Allociné.
Safari: how many cinema tickets for this film?
Released in April 2009, the film Safari was one of the successes of French cinema that year. In effect, nearly two million people went to dark rooms to discover the adventures of Kad Merad, Lionel Abelanski and Frédérique Bel.
