(CercleFinance.com) – Safran announces that it has obtained first place in the annual ranking of patent applicants in France carried out by the National Institute of Intellectual Property (INPI) for the second consecutive year.
With 931 French patent applications filed between July 1, 2020 and June 30, 2021 and published in 2022, Safran is consolidating its position as a leader in innovation in France – but also on a global scale, as evidenced by its presence in the top 100. Global Innovators 2023.
“This performance is all the more remarkable in that it was achieved when the aeronautics sector was hit hard by the Covid-19 pandemic”, underlines Safran.
The company says it spent €1.54 billion on R&D spending in 2022.
