(CercleFinance.com) – Safran announces that an Airbus H225 helicopter has made the very first helicopter flight with sustainable aviation fuel (SAF) powering 100% the two Makila 2 engines of Safran Helicopter Engines.
This flight test followed the test campaign conducted in Bordes by Safran teams. This time, both Makila 2 engines ran on sustainable aviation fuels.
A pillar of the aviation decarbonization strategy, the initiatives of equipment manufacturers and manufacturers are accelerating to advance the transition to this type of fuel.
