Safran: Confirms its outlook for 2022


(CercleFinance.com) – Turnover amounted to 4,071 ME in the 1st quarter of 2022, up 21.8% compared to the 1st quarter of 2021 and 16.9% on an organic basis.

The scope effect represents 20 ME1 (entirely attributable to the Cabin activity). The foreign exchange effect amounts to 184 ME.

Revenue increased by 18.8% for the Propulsion business, mainly due to the civil engine services business, up 52.9% (in USD).

For Equipment & Defense activities, revenue increased by 12.3% in the 1st quarter of 2022. Aircraft Interiors revenue increased by 29.4% thanks to a favorable comparison base in the 1st quarter 2021.

Safran confirms its outlook for 2022 (at constant scope, adjusted data). The group is targeting a turnover of between 18.0 and 18.2 billion euros (at a EUR/USD spot exchange rate of 1.14 against 1.18 previously), a current operating margin of around 13.0% and free cash flow generation of around 2.0 billion euros.
