(Boursier.com) — Cathay Pacific has renewed its service contract with Saffron Nacelles bearing on the support of the thrust reversers of its 51 Airbus A330ceo. In addition, Safran Nacelles has been selected by Cathay Pacific and its subsidiary HK Express to support the nacelles of their 32 Airbus A321neos equipped with LEAP-1A engines from CFM International, a company owned 50/50 by Safran Aircraft Engines and GE. These two contracts, the amount of which has not been specified, were signed for a period of five years.

Regarding the Airbus A321neo fleet, the two airlines will have access to a shared stock of spare parts as well as repair solutions carried out by the maintenance, repair and overhaul – MRO – station in Suzhou, China. As for their Airbus A330ceo fleet, Cathay Pacific will benefit from overhauling the thrust reversers during scheduled maintenance. Safran Nacelles will also carry out one-off repairs as part of unscheduled maintenance. The airline will be supported by Safran’s nacelle experts from the Suzhou station in China, who will be able to intervene quickly under wing for inspections.
