Although never having achieved great worldwide notoriety, SaGa nonetheless remains relevant at Square Enix and will therefore make its return on April 25 with a brand new episode, SaGa Emerald Beyond.
As a reminder, Square Enix is banking on this title to push the franchise’s codes even further, namely several main characters from different worlds whose paths intertwine through non-linear progression based on numerous choices. “ No other game in the SaGa series has a more branching story than SaGa Emerald Beyond », Announces Square Enix. The turn-based combat system also remains and is enriched with new mechanics. It’s a shame that the worldwide release of this new opus is not the opportunity for Square Enix to give us the benefit of a more complete localization: only English and Japanese are mentioned on the Steam sheet, as for SaGa Scarlet Grace: Ambitions and the recent remasters of Romancing SaGa Minstrel Song and SaGa Frontier.
