Sager gets upset – Mr. Stelzer, are we really that spoiled?

The “Krone” asked Stelzer for a statement on the “spoiled life” debate: “The years before Corona were very good years for Austria and compared to many other countries, which were characterized by almost self-evident peace and security, prosperity and growth. Now we are experiencing a turning point with Corona and the war in Ukraine. As head of government in particular, you have to have the courage to address it openly: We are experiencing changes that the state will not be able to compensate 100 percent in the long term. The state must and will cushion cases of social hardship and prevent serious economic structural breaks. And we spend a lot of money for that. The quicker we all accept that we are confronted with new fundamentals and adapt to them, the better we can succeed in turning this upheaval into a new start for our country.”
