Saint-Gobain: disposal of the Crystals and Detectors business


(CercleFinance.com) – Saint-Gobain announces that it has entered into exclusive negotiations for the sale of its Crystals and Detectors business.

Negotiations are being conducted with the SK Capital Partners consortium associated with Edgewater Capital Partners, two American private equity funds specializing in high-tech materials.

They submitted a firm and irrevocable purchase offer for an enterprise value of US$214 million. Completion is expected in the fourth quarter of 2022.

The Crystals and Detectors activity employs approximately 400 people, operates 6 factories (2 in France, 3 in the United States and 1 in India) and generated in 2021 a turnover of nearly 75 million euros with a margin adjusted EBITDA of around 20%.
