Saint-Gobain: sale of its treated wood business in the United Kingdom and Ireland

(AOF) – Saint-Gobain has signed an agreement for the sale of its treated wood products business (posts, fences, railings) in Ireland (PDM) and the United Kingdom (Calders & Grandidge), to the Iivari group Mononen. The assets sold include two production sites in Ireland and the United Kingdom, which generated a turnover of €50 million in 2023 and employ 80 people. The sale of Calders & Grandidge, which is subject to authorization from the Competition Authority, should be finalized by the end of 2024.

These disposals are part of the continuation of the strategy of optimizing the group’s profile, in line with the objectives of the “Grow & Impact” plan.
