Saint-Gobain sells its wood processing business in Denmark


PARIS (Agefi-Dow Jones)–Building materials manufacturer Saint-Gobain announced on Monday that it has signed a definitive agreement to sell Protrae, its timber processing and distribution business in Denmark, for an unpaid amount. communicated.

“This operation is part of the continuation of the strategy to optimize the group’s profile, in line with the objectives of the ‘Grow & Impact’ plan,” Saint-Gobain said in a press release.

The sale of Protrae is subject to the approval of the competent competition authority and should be finalized by the end of the third quarter, added the French group.

Protrae, which employs 100 people at two Danish sites, achieved a turnover of around 120 million euros last year. Its buyer is none other than its main client: jem & fix.
