PARIS (Agefi-Dow Jones)–Building materials manufacturer Saint-Gobain announced on Monday that it has signed a joint venture agreement with Turkish group Dalsan to bring together the two companies’ plasterboard and plasterboard businesses in Turkey. . Financial details of the deal were not disclosed.
“Saint-Gobain Rigips and Dalsan Alçi generated between them a turnover of more than 100 million euros in 2021”, specified Saint-Gobain in a press release.
“In 2023, once the industrial investment of the new factory in Turgutlu (Manisa) is completed, the two companies will enjoy a leading position with an annual production capacity of 100 million square meters of plasterboard, 2 million tons of plaster and 50 million meters of metal profiles,” said Saint-Gobain.
Saint-Gobain expects to close the transaction, subject to antitrust approvals and other customary conditions, by the end of the year.
