Saint-Gobain: signs a renewable electricity contract


(CercleFinance.com) – Saint-Gobain has signed a 10-year renewable electricity purchase contract in Italy with Axpo Italia.

This contract concerns the purchase of renewable electricity produced by two new wind farms located in the Puglia region.

Axpo Italia will supply around 22 GWh of green electricity per year, or 11% of Saint-Gobain’s electricity needs in Italy.

‘This contract is the fifth PPA signed by Saint-Gobain in Italy. Combined, these five projects should cover more than 20% of Saint-Gobain’s electricity needs in the country and contribute to a reduction in CO2 emissions (scope 2) of almost 40% in 2024 compared to 2017,’ indicates the group. .
