Saint-Ouen: the Michelet city is reborn after the dismantling of drug trafficking

As the trial of some thirty alleged traffickers from the Michelet estate in Saint-Ouen begins, whose monthly turnover amounted to 1.4 million euros, calm has returned to this old outlet. However, drugs have not disappeared from the city and the dismantling of this network has only moved the problem to other neighborhoods.

At the entrance to the building, many inscriptions on the walls indicated instructions and prices for buyers. The gutted mailboxes were used as an exchange for transactions.

With the departure of the traffickers, linked to the dismantling of the network a year ago, tranquility has returned to the Michelet city. “This is very quiet. Before, it was hot, ”testified a resident of the city with a hidden face, before being joined in the remarks by a second resident. “We are fine, we are calm. Before, my daughter, I did not dare to bring her down alone and then she can come and play alone in the yard”. “It’s nickel, it’s a radical change,” concluded a last inhabitant of the town at the microphone of CNEWS.

If the city located at 86 avenue Michelet now has a much calmer environment, other drug trafficking continued to operate in Saint-Ouen (Seine-Saint-Denis). “It’s Saint-Ouen, it’s the city. Deal points, everyone knows them. So indeed, they are no longer there but they must be elsewhere, ”testified a resident of the Michelet city on CNEWS.

The dealers have been moved to other points of sale and the drug is still circulating in the town, to the chagrin of local residents.
