Saints Row: the 2023 roadmap is becoming clearer, expansions and updates are fast approaching

Little appreciated for its lack of originality and identity, Saints Row had also been criticized for technical issues, which the developers took the time to correct with a 1.2 update at the end of last year. They have since been discreetly working on the post-launch content and are also revealing there roadmap following the festivities.

The first step will be A Dead Island 2 Bundle which will arrive on April 11 with cosmetic items inspired by the heroes of the other production of Deep Silver. As for free updates, expect a patch introducing the district of Sunshine Springsrevisited fights, a mode selfie and more in May, another in July to improve the quality of life and bring some new content, and a last August with an additional second quarter and other additions.

Paid extensions will also start arriving with The Heist & The Hazardous and its 3 missions to Sunshine Springs in May, the mode Doc Ketchum’s Murderous Circus in July and a third DLCs still secret in August.

Deep Silver and Volition today reveal that Santo Ileso is set to get bigger and better in the coming months with three major releases for all Expansion Pass holders. Indeed two new free neighborhoods are planned, but also three updates improving the comfort and quality of the game as well as a cosmetic pack inspired by Dead Island 2.

For starters, the Dead Island 2 Pack is slated for April 11. HELL-A meets the Wild West in this free update inspired by Deep Silver’s upcoming zombie game. Players will then be able to dress their boss with objects reminiscent of the intrepid Jacob or the athletic Amy. They will also be able to apply the principle of “shock and awe” thanks to a new weapon, but also to stroll in style thanks to a new emote. That’s not all, fans can also rekindle their biting memories by sporting an iconic pink flamingo hat or by installing Carver’s shark statue in their HQ.

The game’s biggest free update is scheduled for May. This is the addition of Sunshine Springs, a brand new district of Santo Ileso, along with a series of changes that will impact the quality of the game (such as revamped combat, a Selfie mode and more). On the same day, Expansion Pass holders will get ‘The Heist & The Hazardous’, three new missions set in the Sunshine Springs neighborhood as the Saints embark on an ambitious heist to get revenge on a famous actor who would have doubled them…

The second expansion pass is scheduled for July with “Doc Ketchum’s Murderous Circus”, a new single-player mode that we won’t tell you about… yet. Additionally, this will also bring about an update intended to improve the quality of the game in general while adding different elements.

Finally, the third and final pack of the Expansion Pass will be released in August. Keep an eye on social media for more information soon. August will also see the appearance of a new second district as well as new improvements, all free for all players.

All expansion packs will be available separately, but are also bundled in the Season Passin particular included in the Notorious Edition sold €48.21 on Amazon.co.uk.
