After many years, Sennheiser is finally renewing its high-end offer and replacing its Game One and G4me Zero. The GSP 500 and GSP 600, launched respectively at 229 and 249 €, therefore arrive to offer a “professional” listening and communication solution to demanding players.

The GSP 600 makes a very successful entry into our comparison. It offers everything you expect from a closed wired gaming headset: a robust and neat design, great ease of use, a comfortable fit, incredibly effective isolation, very clean and clear voice pickup as well as a precise, balanced and above all immersive sound reproduction. However, its small clip effect and its weight can put off, especially if you have a large head or are looking for a helmet that can be forgotten. We advise you to take a look at the HyperX Cloud Alpha which is, moreover, much more affordable.

Despite a few minor flaws, the GSP 500 delivers an extremely solid overall performance. Comfortable (except for a pronounced clamp effect), equipped with an absolutely remarkable quality microphone, it also benefits from a very immersive sound reproduction, in particular thanks to a very ample and precise spatialization. However, the latter is expressed above all on games and films; for music listening, the GSP 500 is noticeably less at ease. So even though it is one of the best helmets gaming available, this relative lack of versatility should be taken into account before any purchase decision, especially at its very high launch price.
