The Dyson V11 Animal Extra stick vacuum cleaner goes under €800 at Amazon, a drop of around 32% on the price usually found. It is currently one of our best value for money.
The Dyson V11 Animal Extra opens the British manufacturer’s “Extra” range. This stick vacuum cleaner has a screen and a removable battery. Perfectly identical to the V11 Absolute Extra, this model does not however come with a high-torque brush and ignores the automatic mode.

The range starts with the V11 Animal Extra. The difference with the V11 Absolute Extra lies in the list of accessories supplied with the device. This edition is devoid of the Fluffy brush and the High Torque brush, yet a big novelty in the V11 range. Thus, the V11 Animal Extra necessarily ignores the automatic mode – inseparable from the dedicated brush – and, in this sense, the screen is only used to keep an eye on the level of battery charge. With this version, the user misses out on the features of V11. The fact remains that it is a very good stick vacuum cleaner offering very good suction performance, perfect filtration and simplified maintenance. Unlike the V11 Animal Plus, its battery is removable.
Strong points
- Excellent suction capabilities.
- Perfect filtration.
- Autonomy management to the nearest second thanks to the screen.
- Simple and not messy maintenance.
Weak points
- A bit heavy when the cleaning session gets longer.
- Noisy in boost mode.
- Extraction and replacement of the battery not necessarily obvious.

If the Outsize is an atypical stick vacuum cleaner because of its size, it is above all a Dyson. As such, it does its job efficiently, perfectly filters the air it sucks in, which preserves its filters and suction capacities, and is very easy to maintain. The other side of the (big) coin, it also has the inherent flaws of the British brand, namely a boost mode that is a bit limited in time for our taste, as well as a substantial weight that is further underlined by its disproportionate format.
