Sales / Good deal – The Jabra Elite 65t “4-star” true wireless earphones at €85.00 (-14%)

Jabra Elite 65t true wireless headphones go below €90 at Cobra and Carrefour, a drop of around 14% on the price usually found. It is currently one of our best value for money for small budgets.

Launched at €179, the Elite 65t are the second model of intras wirefree (100% wireless) from Jabra after the Elite Sport released in March 2017. This time, the manufacturer promises a more comfortable pair of intras specifically dedicated to mobile listening and many features, including Bluetooth 5.0. We must admit that the result is there.

How the pricing table works

Jabra signs a very nice achievement with its pair of intras wirefree Elite 65t. This model sets an example on many points, in particular with regard to the wireless connection, the quality of the capture, the ease of use or the control possibilities made available. The sound quality is not to be outdone, far from it, but if you are looking for the most accomplished listening experience to date on this type of product, you will have to decide between the Elite 65t and their three main rivals, the Sony WF-1000X, Beoplay E8 and Bose SoundSport Free, each with sound characteristics that will have more or less impact depending on your listening preferences.

Strong points

  • Beautiful homogeneity of the frequency response, especially after correction.
  • Well-defined mids, voice intelligibility.
  • Stable connection, multipoint Bluetooth pairing.
  • Clear, complete, multilingual sound indications.
  • Easy to insert, very good support.
  • Neat manufacturing, relatively discreet intras.
  • Lots of control options.
  • Effectiveness of on-board microphones.

Weak points

  • Lack of sweetness in the high mids/treble.
  • We would have appreciated a greater general sound precision.
  • Particularly marked presence in the duct.

  • Active noise reduction

The FreeBuds 4i are certainly not free from defects – in addition to their disappointing noise reduction, we especially think of their controls which are too scanty. But that does not prevent them from boldly teasing many supposedly more prestigious models, thanks in particular to extremely solid comfort and sound performance. A great success.
