WMF offers numerous devices within its Lono range. Just like the Grill and Plancha, the crepe maker does not really stand out for its characteristics, but its careful finishes still hide some pleasant surprises.

For its Lono crepe maker, WMF has taken care of appearances without neglecting performance. The rise in temperature could certainly have been more uniform, but the heat ends up diffusing into the plate quite quickly and remains there very well. The presence of a rim also prevents you from wasting too much dough on the work surface while you learn how to turn a nice crepe, but we still prefer smooth plates, especially since, at WMF, the edge encroaches a little too much on the cooking surface.

• Pancakes often thicker on the edge.

• Edge not high enough, and annoying to spread the dough well.
• Slightly curved plate.

The expression “variety of pleasures” corresponds perfectly to Essentiel B ECPM3. This device imitates both Breton crepe makers thanks to its 35 cm plate, but also the popular party crepes with a plate with five indentations. However, the materials used and the finishes tarnish this picture. And if the versatility of the crepe maker can only please, its stability and even heating leave something to be desired. The Essentiel B then constitutes a good 2-in-1 for beginner crepe makers undecided between mini and maxi crepes.
