Salzburg League – Bramberg is the big “kilometre eater”

The Salzburg league team is geographically at a disadvantage compared to their rivals Long journeys not only cost a lot of time, but also money

A bus ride, that’s fun. A bus ride is nice. The Brambergers accept their “fate” in the Salzburg league in one way or another. For the only representative from Pinzgau, every guest is a game of patience. “It’s a huge effort for us,” explains coach Christoph Bernsteiner. Every away trip means a journey of at least 200 kilometers (see chart). The Brambergers cover a total of almost 3,800 kilometers. For comparison: The SAK does not even drive 800 to complete all the games abroad. The trips not only take up a lot of time, but also money. Costs of over 20,000 euros per season Financially, it is “not so easy to handle”, as Bramberg’s chairman Martin Innerhofer reveals. If you add up the costs for the first, the 1b and the offspring, they amount to at least 20,000 euros per season. After all, with Plössnig Reisen you have a reliable partner who ensures that the “kilometre-eaters” reach their destination safely. In terms of sport, however, you only feel a little of this competitive disadvantage. Despite a few failures, the ninth in the league wants to write to Eugendorf on Sunday. “It should be at least one point, I’d prefer a threesome,” Bernsteiner grins.
